Mystic Mutts Dog Grooming was started in 2022 by Jordan Hearl, a certified Groom Tech and Pet Groomer through the Paragon School of Pet Grooming.

Before starting her own business, Jordan worked in a big-box grooming environment where appointments often felt rushed, stressful, and overwhelming — not just for the dogs, but for the groomers too. She saw how easily grooming could become something pets dreaded and owners felt anxious about.

So she created Mystic Mutts to be different.

As a home-based, appointment-only groomer in Mount Airy, NC, Jordan offers a calmer, one-on-one grooming experience where each dog gets her full attention. Her goal is to make grooming feel less stressful from start to finish — easier for pet parents, gentler for dogs, and more sustainable for her as the groomer.

At Mystic Mutts, every appointment is built around patience, comfort, and consistency. Jordan wants each pup to feel safe, loved, and cared for throughout the process. Whether your dog is a confident grooming regular or a nervous first-timer, she takes the time to understand their needs, their coat, and their comfort level.

Jordan is also a proud dog mom to her two pups, Mara and Callie, so she knows firsthand how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else’s care. That’s why she treats every dog who comes through Mystic Mutts like one of her own.

Outside of grooming, Jordan is an animal lover with a creative streak. She loves maximalist fashion, collecting one-of-a-kind finds — from clothes to quirky little trinkets — and trying out new hobbies whenever inspiration strikes.

Mystic Mutts is more than a grooming business. It’s Jordan’s way of creating a safer, softer, more personalized experience for dogs and the people who love them.

Mystic Mutts was created to be everything rushed, high-volume grooming is not.
